Hi,

Does anyone have a data sheet for the new 1100 w supply by Tagan?

I have tried their website, but the link does not work.

I would like to know how the rails are divided up, what kind of power is available to a Crossfire setup?

Thanks
Raja

they are already on sale in the uk, I have ordered the 900w version.

here's how the rails are divided:

1100w version
20A for each 12V rail and 80A totally.
12V1 for 12V 8pin connector
12V2 for 12V 4pin, 12V 8pin, 20+4pin, and HDD power.
12V3 for VGA 6pin No.1 and No.3.
12V4 for VGA 6pin No.2 and No.4.

great thing is that the pcie connectors have their own rails.

What's the MRSP on these?

i really wanted the 900W version of these (powerful psu's are hard to come by in the UK or they're extortionately priced) but a friend had cold boot issues using one with a dfi venus
using an old enermax noisetaker 600W allowed him to boot normally

I hope it works ok with my DFI CFX3200 DR! If not I guess it'll have to be rma'd, I don't think there should be a problem as my Seasonic S12 600w boots fine, the Seasonic series has been known to have issues ewith DFI boards in the past. DFI were actually out of spec on the startup voltages, but I think with the CFX3200 it's not a problem. I'll let you know of my results.

If it doesn't work I guess it'll be the new Silverstone 750w supply to try next.

Don't forget that all Tagan newest PSU are able to combined all those rails into one powerful single rails. Personally, I really prefer single Huge +12V rail.

For the 900W version the combined +12V rail is 72A while the 1100W is at 80A

That data was from the Tech at Tagan, this is a multi rail psu, the rails DO NOT combine with the 900w and 1100w supplies, they remain seperate.

Hi Raja

Thanks for the info. I'm just curious because since the U22 version they have so called "trademark" split/combined swith to combined the multi rail into one powerful single rail. Don't your U95 have the split/combined switch behind the PSU?

No switch I'm afraid, it's multi rail no combine option.

Any info on cross-loading requirements?

Do they make custom builds with some useful connectors on rails 3 + 4?

They didn't answer my email, BTW :(

I've said this in the other thread also, new Tagan series (U25/35/95) = Topower P9 series. Specs here:

I have not seen anything about cross loading, I'll have a more robust view of the psu in a couple of days. My new PSU has arrived at the delivery depot.

What are your power/rails distribution requiremnts?

I don't think you'll get any custom adjustments, as the units are prebuilt for Tagan. Though if you have good diy skills (which it appears you have), I'd just add necessary connectors to an unused PCIE rail..

Need to power a board with 8 AMD64 cores, and two 8-pin EPS12V. I would prefer to do so without putting up a lot of 5-volt load, too, so the crossloading becomes a factor. A PCP&C 1 KW custom build with two 8-pins failed to run this rig because of overloading of some individual rail (even with additional 5V load).

I am in progress of getting molexing equipment to make PCIe 6-pin to EPS12V power adapters, but with 4 rails I am bound to have one rail unused either way, unless I am willing to mix two rails on one 8-pin, which I don't know the requirements for.
