just curious, but what is the best bios that most people use for the dual core opterons? i have tried 329-1, 510-1, 623-3, and i cant say that im satisfied with the results.

can users please post their most stable bios and results with the bios update? thanks.

A bios update doesnt raise cpu clocks. Different bioses just allows you to oc your ram better.

Im using 623-3 with a Opteron 165.. Using a divider, im at 255 mhz actual, 300+ HTT with the divider and 2800 mhz final. Stable!

165 sucks with a 9X multi

I am curious also, as I have been running 702BTA for some time now. Wondering if 406BTA can give me a few more Mhz?

I was able to boot higher with the 6-23-3 bios using TCCD on divider than I was with the offical 406 bios when I was runing an opteron 165 CCB1E 0608MPMW

I did OK on my SLI-DR with the 704-bta BIOS

haven't tried Tony's newest release as I have an eXpert now
