Just a few minutes ago I was surfing the web and my comp just turned off. When I try to turn it on agian all fans spin and it looks like its about to turn on but it doesnt post, as if the CPU was dead. I was running stock speed and default voltages too. When I pull out the memory it doesnt even beep :(. I tested the PSU on the different system and it works fine. Any ideas? The system im talkling about is in my sig. Iv had nothing but problems with this thing....

Nevermind the 6800GS is still alive even though tons of smoke came out of it, 950 works on my friends P5LD2. D955XBK just has bent pins, looks like new mobo time?

Wow that is sweet. Sounds like it was exciting... I've only ever had one things smoke and that was only a connector for USB or something.. I plugged it into a SMB bus thing (no clue what that is all I know is it makes smoke).

Ok so now that my D955XBK is dead, im back on my old system:
3.4C @ 4.0 Ghz
Intel D865GLC
Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro
2x 160 GB HDs
Allied 400 watt
Pretty solid system but I need my 6800 GS :). I am looking for some cheap mobo to hold out till conroe. Right now Im looking at the ECS C19-A SLI (1.0A)

Now I know its ECS lol and I would usually never go ECS (or Nvidia chipset) but this one is 68 bucks, has everything I need and good reviews.
Many reviews on this ECS board

Reviews saying its even got good OC ability.
