Well hi everyone, this is my First time posting here - how are you all doing?
I was wondering if anyone could help me out abit and answer a few questions, I just built a new rig (sig) I have a few small problems, hopefully some one can help
Ok to the point!
1\ I disable all un needed onboard devices I.E serial port, printer port etc etc, but when I disable the game port on this motherboard I can’t even boot into windows!!! I guess it’s an IRQ issue or something.
2\ what voltage should my memory operate at?
3\ what speed should my memory be running at? DDR 400 or the advertised DDR 433?
4\ Memory - Command rate 1t or 2t?
The main reason for these memory related questions is im not stable in memtest86 which is really strange, I can run 3d mark over and over again and its 100 % stable, im also 100 % stable in and around the OS, not had one single BSOD, im confused ! Any help appreciated.
Regards Ryan.

does memtest always fail at the same spot?
test #6 i believe?
if it does..try disabling legacy usb support i think.
or reflash your bios back to 1009 because its a bug in 1103...

Don't exspect to much help here. Everyone here just figures it's been said before and their too busy to help. I just come here because it does have alot of good info. So since I'm not from here. I'll help.
I'm still on 1103 that it came with. When I started out I tried the NVfirewall and managment software. Big mistake. If you don't use the onboard SATA or eithernet disable them all in the bios. Don't use the NVfirewall.
With my Ram below the system did auto detect the correct freq and ran it at 500mhz right off the bat. If it's not go to the CPU config are in the bios and then memory config the limit is the memory divider. so 216 should run you right. As for voltage anywere from 2.6v-2.8v prolly.
Can't help with the command rate should be whatever you ram is spec'ed to do. Use 2t if it's not booting.

Run the 3500LL on AUTO settings accross the board in 'CPU configuration' , this will auto put it at DDR400 2-3-2-6. The DDR voltage should be between 2.6 and 2.9 if you intend on overclocking, I found 2.8 to work best. Set the DDR sqew to delay 450. The 3500 rather than 3200 is in consideration to an 'overclocked' state i.e you wont need to put the memory on a divider until your FSB goes past 216 (DDR438 - 1:1). If you are overclocking then put the memory on a divider (166 upto 250 fsb, 133 upto 300 fsb). If you want to drop the timings to 2-3-2-5 then put 2.9v through them but I didn't notice much of a difference in benchmarking so I kept them at 2.8v. ALWAYS use 1T, I never had any problems at all running at 1T FSB 280x10 at 2-3-2-6 with 2.8v on a 133 divider. Also for dual channel ensure they are both in Blue slots or Black slots, not mixed.
Memtest:
Basicly load 'setup defaults' and the board does a good job at detecting the memories defualt settings. Run memtest and if you get errors with default settings then RMA.
