I'm having incredibly frustrating problems with mounting the Ninja to the Ultra-D.

The manual of the Ninja recommends using the original backplate of the Ultra-D to hold the retention bracket of the Ninja with, but the screws end up being much too long. I tried using the Ninja supplied backplate, but I didn't want to pull off the adhesive tape and glue the backplate to the mobo. So, I decided to stick with the original backplate.

I'm off to Home Depot to find some shorter screws. In the meantime, can you guys show some pics of how you rigged up the Ninja to the Ultra-D? Thanks, see ya. :D

I left the DFI backplate on my Ultra-D. The screws were easy to put in, they fit fine for me.

To hook the ninja on you have to apply pressure to push the pins down into the open area of the brackets, the first two are easy to put in, the last two you have to apply force to get them to click in. After that it's pretty easy.

I don't have a good digicam so pictures from me wouldn't do anything but I would recommend using the stock screws that were already on the DFI board to hook up the Ninja bracket (top one not bottom, I didn't use bottom bracket).

I use the backplate from scythe on my ultra-d, works flawless.

WOOT! I picked up some 3/4" screws from Home Depot and they fit PERFECTLY. Now, hopefully I can finish this rig. Thanks for the help guys!
