I'm looking for a motherboard not from DFI to replace my curent Expert. This is the 2nd time now I have had the same problem with it. The first time the mobo came doa and killed my ram with it and now this time it has run for about 3 months and died also taking my ram with it. During these 3 months it ran 100% stable for weeks of uptime. The memory wasn't overclocked and it was running at default settings each time.
What motherboard should I get to replace this one? I have some gskill tccd ram currently and looking for SLI support in the new one. This is for an opty 170 on watercooling.

if you're not this big on overclocking go with the K8N Diamond Plus, w/full 16x sli support. if you want to overclock as well go with the abit an8 32x, or asus a8n32. the 32x pci-e isn't much of a performance gain, but its a gain non the less. plus if sli performance is your main concern, i can't see going with anything else.

if you wanna stay away from DFI then go for asus a8n32, the top for ya.

id say either a8n-sli deluxe or a8n-sli premium if you like more accessories

Thanks, it looks like I will go with the asus. I had an intel asus mobo (P4C800) and it was great. I have one question though, will I be able to save my raid 0 array or will I need to recreate it?

it depends on the chipset. it needs to be on the same raid chipset. i would recommend a fresh install anyway.

They both have the same nv raid that I was using on the Expert. I will do a fresh install... I keep all my files and stuff on another partition and I don't feel like restoring 200GB worth of stuff. ;) Thanks, I hope I have more luck with this Asus.
