NEVERMIND FORGET ABOUT IT... I just flashed to 623-1 seems to be working ok now.

i don't know if it's my board or the ram, but either way its the ram in some sort.

First off I have the mushkin hp blue 2gig kit(in sig.), I've posted here before about them, yeah i don't like 'em, but no one's buying them so i guess i'm stuck for now...

since I can't clock high, I end up clocking low...whatever it is, it just doesn't want to be stable...I think I should actually tighten my timings more since they are running at 133mhz(divider) with my cpu running at 2.80ghz.

SOMETHING'S WRONG!! EVER SINCE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO MY RAM IS REALLY SLOW, WON'T RESPOND WELL TO ANY CHANGES, AND CPU-Z WON'T POST ANYTHING?? WHAT'S WRONG??

edit* cpu-z decides to work now..

here's a pic of my A64current timings after and since its been acting funny(i change one thing on it and it freezes on me, here or bios setting), and a pic of my cpu-z that's missing info.

any suggestions on making this smoother?? what to lay off of in the bios setting or what to change??? I accept the fact that these don't want to go above 210mhz...so if it won't go up and i have to keep it low...i guess i'll use lower timings...

What exactly is your main problem? Is the memory just not stable, or are you upset you can't keep it at stock settings? The HP series is definitely a tricky one to tweak with.

286 * 10, 7:10 = 2.860GHz with 204MHz memory.

If it's a stability issue with your ram, you may want to loosen some of your secondary timings, like tRRD, tRTW.. etc.

Yes, actually both, I just want to use my ram at decent performance.

Even at 18x mhz's... because for whatever reason it will not even boot at a 7:10 divider.

Anyone know of a good guide with the timing theories and what effects what so I know what I'm actually doing? I mean I know the CAS, Trc, trrd, and tras to some extent, but the rest of the numbers are a bit sketchy to me, I barely change one and my whole rig won't boot.
