Hi!

I have a :
- DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra D
- A64 3000+ Venice
- 500w class B "Best Power" power supply
- X800GTO2
- but, ohhh... Kingston KVR 3200+ dual kit 1GB

The Kingston is equipped with Infineon memory. It is totally incompatible with my DFI board + A64 combo. The memory does all sort of errors at 1T, so I have to run it at 2T. At 1T, I can't overclock past 2895 mhz I get errors. At 2T I can't overclock past 2775 I get reboots. The memory has been adjusted for best performance and has tight settings, so I get 5400 MB/s in sandra on 2T, and 5900 MB/s in sandra at 1T.

The Venice is a naked core, no IHS, and is cooled with an Evercool. The yellow frame holder for the cpu that comes with the Lanparty has been carefully sanded to cut 2mm off the legs in order to have good contact between CPU and the Evercool, which has a semi lapped copper base.

Anyway, what should I do? I'm poor btw! No money yet for new memory. Would love some OCZ, Corsair, Patriot, Mushkin, etc...

The 12 volt rail on PSU is quite unstable. When I launch a 3D app / benchmark, there is a fan that slows down because of the graphics card demand. But that doesn't make the system crash. CPU and memory voltages are very stable (1% variation at most).

not with the proper dividers.. it might affect your scores a bit but it in no way can affect your Overclock potential.. your PSU on the other hand....

if its infineon chips try 2.5-3-2-x timings.

My settings. It's all in 2T. I can't use the memory at 1T even at default mhz of 200 x 2 on my Lanparty. It makes errors and BSODs. But this 2T setting works fine. But this is so slow that for example superPI takes 34 seconds on the 1M bench for 2.8ghz Venice. 3Ghz is currently impossible. 2.9ghz is incredibly unstable and unusable.

If I chanche de memory multiplier with those setting say from 140 to 120, it will crash the system, FREEZE in other words. At 133 I'm back to around 200mhz memory but 2T as stated, so slower than it should in all cases, but then I can overclock to a stable 2850 mhz. The real safe point is 2800mhz right now with these settings.

could yolu elaborate? those are (in order): Tcl - Trp - Trcd - Tras ?

Are those settings for 2T ?

forgot to mention, from IHS plate:

I like cheap ram. You can usually tweak it until it's good.
