I'm sure with Conroe around the corner and a lot of new motherboards you will be putting a lot of big scores up in the coming months.

That's incredible...975 and only single core (okay, this is 03--loves Intel and cares more about memory bandwidth than CPU MHz or cores, I know)....and only on air....wow.

How'd he get it to work so well on 975?

ok, whatever.
for a moment I thought this was real.
fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

reminds of that post...

great, can you show us some more info...

oh I would, but uh.. .that ram was my friends, and I don't have it anymore, infact... its dead, so I can't, sorry.

I am not saying he's a liar, he obviously wasn't when they got the 6600 GT's to work...

but so far, I either its exceptionally petty to have drivers that do work, then never let anyone use them...
or, he's pulling my leg.

at the moment, I am inclined to think both are the case. :slapass:

gonna have to agree to kunaak even the numbers are really impressive it is kinda strange thing how he did it.
If a driver mod would be possible I'm sure we would have seen it somewhere else. And if he really got one and does not share it - kill him and grab the driver, I'll spread it all over the world (I'm experienced in that hrhr)

one serious question: isn't it the case that modified drivers will not be recognized on the orb?
or is the orb just looking for the version number not if the driver is original or not?

Just look for yourself - it`s WHQL and FM aprooved. Otherwise it would be marked as not aprooved drivers, isn`t it ?

Where can I find such a mod? I already have the chipset EXE that was forceably removed a few weeks back by the green machine.

I am looking to possibly upgrading to conroe, but having 2x 7900GTX I will need something like this to run them both on the Intel chipset.

I saw it and this is what wondered me - is it a "special" modded driver now or not? If he is the only one having it this is kinda ridiculous competition imo.

But the system refused to work Smile. I have lost a lot of time finding out the reason but so anything has not found. When I have installed other driver of a problem have ended.

he's the only one has has hacked drivers that work with the newer nvidia cards on intel chipsets...

There's no way that orginal drivers are modified. If they were modded, there is no way that they could be still WHQL (any modification to main .inf, .sys will result in broken file signature and therefore .cat will not protect installed files making drivers non-WHQL) apparently his drivers are WHQL which only means 2 things to me:

1. He has a good friend that send him those drivers.
2. He modified them after normal driver install.

Anyway, great work Sam :toast: you should make your drivers available to all XS members who want SLI on Intel.

EDIT: OK, I got something for XS, hopefully it does work
nfm_nv4_disp84.56_mod.rar (http://www.zeroangel.ch/XP64_ua_cd_pack/nfmfiles/missc/nfm_nv4_disp84.56_mod.rar)
Follow this instructions to see if this will make SLI to work on x975
Make sure that you have 1 card plugged in. Get my drivers and extract them somewhere.

1. Power on system, keep pressing F8 as you would press Del to go into the BIOS, then choose "Enable VGA Mode"
2. Have extracted drivers ready, now, right click on "My COmputer" icon either on your desktop or in STart Menu.
3. Choose "Properties", then "Hardware", then "Device Manager", and navigate your single nvidia card.
4. Right click on your device, choose "Properties", "Driver", "Update Driver", then do the following:
click on "No, not this time", next
click on "Install from a specific location (Advanced)"
click on "Don't search...."
click on "Have Disk"

now navigate extracted folder, and click on nv4_disp.inf
FINISH INSTALLING, do not restart!

Now, SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM
Plug in second card
Boot Windows XP normally, let it load completely

And lastly reboot system, and let me know if it works.

EDIT2: Com'on guys somebody test it out, it may be a simple reg entry that we need to export from nf4 SLI system and integrate it into drivers to enable SLI on Intel. If somebody is willing to help, PM on how to export that reg entry.

Does anybody have a screenie on Intel showing how SLI cannot be enabled?

Well, I'm trying to get the SLI working, yet it won't start :@

Well, checkbox isn't there. Somebody with working SLI on any platform should check if the SLI is enabled in registry. You could use a regshot v1.72 to find out what and where the entry is changed by simply unchecking SLI, dumping reg image, checking SLI back, dumping reg image and finally compare them.

...and please don't ask me for a copy.......

Big_Sam, have you tested a Yonah setup with these drivers?

I'd love to see what the yonah is capable of ;).

Unfortunately - NO. :( I do not have such devices.
But I saw one very interesting message: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1434104&postcount=69

bigsam here on XS is the only person with the hacked SLI drivers for use on platforms with Intel chipsets...

and the select few who he has chosen to give the drivers to (under certain terms and conditions), otherwise his hacked drivers are under a very strict NDA

http://steffbard.com/drivers_old/FW81.85_mod.exe

This is old WHQL/FM driver without 7900/7600/7300 support, but with 7800/6600 it works perfect. It allows to use SLi on intel 955/975 chipsets.

Enjoy ! :)

PS
Concerning about new versions of drivers address in PM.
