As above. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I kno Crucials ballistix line of these has stopped production or sumthin? Are there any other good (half budget) 2x 1Gb kits out there capable of 250+ 2-x-x-x?

250 at cas 2 isnt easy, but there are many kits for really cheap that can do it at cas 2.5-3-3... look to either UCCC or infineon memory.. infineon typically does lower clocks but with tighter timings.
G.skill has thier HZ UCCC and ZX infineon..i think ocz PC4000 EB is infineon, im not sure what the other brands versions are though, there are tons of threads on this already, look to bachus anonym's testing on this forum, he gives detailed reviews of 2x1gb sticks all the time.

Can you give me a few UK websites where i could get some of the above memory. OCuk used to stock both Gskill and OCZ. Now they just do OCZ. Dunno what happened to the gskill stuff. Which to be honest i would rather go for. 1Gb of ram is jus not enough these days for the latest games and stuff. With the new game condemned i get alot of page swapping grr! Think i'll get the HZ UCCC stuff :D
EDIT:
OCUK hasnt stopped stocking. Just a bad link. From Gskill iv picked the following two kits that are the same price. Can anyone tell me which one is preferable?
G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 £146

- CAS Latency : 3-4-4-8 (PC4000)
- Test Voltage : 2.6~2.8 V
- PCB Board : 6 Layers PCB
- Speed : DDR 500MHz (PC4000)
G.Skill 2GB DDR HS PC3200 £146
- Package : 2048MB kit (2x1GB) dual channel pack
- With Samsung UCCC chips
- CAS Latency : 2.5-3-3-6 (PC3200)

I've been out of the DDR1 loop when it comes to new modules, but I have been extremely happy with my UCCC based CMX1024-4000PT Corsair modules. I am not sure about such a low CAS, but they could do 280MHz with 3-4-4. I am sure with more tweaking and voltage, the timings could be tighter.
