Hello all,
I benched yesterday my system with 3dMark06, and got merely 4204 at stock speeds and 4434 at overclocked. From my understanding, should my PC do well over 5000. Question is, why it doesn't? Or do you think that 4434 is normal result of following configuration:
ASUS P5AD2-E Premium with 1006.006 beta BIOS (I think it did the same with 1005 bios)
Intel 550 3.4 @ 4.0, VCore @ ~ 1.465 (SuperPI around 31sec) - multi at 17x and FSB at 235mhz, HT active, L2 active (how do i shut down L2 - heard that PI goes up with L2 off??)
Sapphire X1900 XTX @ Stock speed
2GB RAM - Samsung DDR2 PC2-533 CL4 512MB (x4) running at 4-4-4-11 and 313,9mhz (CPU-Z)
Antec Phantom 500W (middle setting for the fan)
I don't think that's important for the benchmark, but many USB devices connected (8), 2 sound cards and complete watercooling (so, it's definitely not heat).
Anything you might think of that might be falsely configured?
Thanks a lot, Kosta
