Are they going to send out "Upgrade Kit's" to everyone who already bought a xbox360? lol
Man it'd suck to be a xbox fanboy these days.

you are aware that there is NO performance difference, right? It's a pure die shrink, nothing more.
EDIT: Grats on the 1k posts, Pinnacle. :)

Well, at least it would reduce heat output, and electricity usage. Then there wouldn't be so many overheating issues with both the unit and the external PSU. :)

I wonder if they'll get rid of the stupid foil before then. My friend took his off and he never got any problems after that. He didn't realise he was voiding his warrenty though so now he's pissed with me cause I told him about it. hehe
If they can reduce the size of the heatsink then at least it'll be lighter than the current version. I didn't plan to get a 360 till Q1 '07 anyway so it looks like I win:woot:

The die shrink is most likely so it will cost MS less to make them. As an owner of a current gen 360 I'll say that the heat output is crazy, I've seen the internal shots and, IMO, they did a crap job cooling it. The die shrink should hopefully help with that issue too.
To those making the comments about this sucking for us current owners, I say meh, it's to be expected, the PS2 has shrink down quite a bit from it's first iteration. Tis the way it works
