lol, they'll lose, unfortunately, we'll lose too

you see, the leaked info causes companies to spend more to protect the info, and of course passes that buck on to you and me, also, them going to court costs them, which of course, costs us.....same reason that taxing a business is useless, as they just pass that cost off to us(and profits from it too)

@Vulgarhandle

if companys didnt have all them extra costs i doubt they would lower the price. They would simply make more profit.

i hope they win....leaking information is illegal and detrimental to everyone...information of this kind is NOT "news" and should not fall under protection.

Where do these guys get their research? Several US states have statutory protections for journalists, but the federal government does not and the First Amendment has nothing to do with it. Did they forget the Judy Miller case last year? She spent a couple months in jail for not revealing her sources.

Apple will still lose, but not on free speech grounds. Their employees are contractually bound to keep their mouths shut; the websites aren't contractually bound to anything. If Apple wants to run a tighter ship, the courts will put the burden where it belongs -- on the company itself.

Oh, so the ability for apple to make $500,000,000 in profit this year is more important than the founding principles of this country. Wake up.
