Don't know if this has been posted here but they seem to be selling dual 7800GT's now and i was wondering if anyone has benched a couple of these yet.
Here is the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121213
:stick:
EDIT: after looking closely at the picture it would seem that they don't support SLi but i would still like to know how well they score.
Thanks

Whew.. looks like a beast! lol.. but for that price I could get two 7900GT extreme cards + save some $$ and blow that thing out of the water.. anyways..
some guys tried in sli and result was not that good, no driver suport for sli! so all kinds of problems!therefore i suggest 2 7900gt wich cost less and will work much better

There not working correctly from all the reviews ive read...
Id love to finalle see some Quad sli workin out though .. itd rawk
hmmm in a german newspaper there was a cebit article with/about a working quad sli...I even read the article twice because I thought I got it wrong the first time reading it.
Well there was something about driver problems but seems there will be a driver with the quad support soon.
The number for performance gain was 80% in the best case and an example comparison (without warranty) of FEAR in 1280x960 (guess max quality)
7800 GT Quad 92 FPs
7800 SLI 53 FPS

its likely a mix up of 2 seperate things. the one thing appears to be results from when toms did the dual 7800's project (that was mostly broken and didnt work well/didnt have drivers etc) whereas the other article was likely about real quad sli with 7900 GX cards with drivers etc(you have been able to buy systems from places like dell or voodoo pc etc with quad setups for a couple weeks now).

The problem is that the cards loose the Vsync and at 3d marks don't have very good results...BUT..in game demos the fps are the double..:D
nVidia is preparing for something new very very soon...:D

Asus got those cards to work with their own drivers but still buggy. However having 2 cards with 2 chips is certainly a better idea which has more finesse than 4 cards. Cheaper and easier to cool as well of course.
I still get the feeling that nvidia is still experimenting and fine tuning 4Sli. It should come into it's own when they hit 80nm and 65nm I think when it should be cheaper and require less power. 900w Tagan power seems to be the default miniumum at present for these types of systems.
The great unknown though is how much cpu power will it take when running at a mere 1024 or 1280 for 3dmark .. probably too much ..at least for 2001. Poor old drag low and nature would have a right old bashing though.

I don't think ASUS have her own drivers..
Only nVidia is working on them...but as you say...they arent playing good enough...:(

But 7800s at this point (with the 79xx series out) has not a lot of sense i think...
