Yeah that doesn't have AA at all

:p:

Its just the first page that was lacking. The rest are pretty good. I guess its time to shell out money for that cfx3200 and an x1900 mastercard :stick:

Maybe on nvidia to show the HDR so no AA but some of those shots look like 640x480 :p: However the landscapes look fantastic and if they add some SM4.0 effects then I will have to upgrade to G80 or R6xx and Vista just for this game. Far Cry looks pretty good still so this should be spectacular.

Wonder how much 24/30inch LCD's will cost in Q1 12007 ? I hope they have a massive price drop just in time ....

does this game run on vista and xp or just vista?Yes It does. It will definitely be playable at E3 and we're shooting for winter 2006 right now. We don't have to wait until Vista ships either.

Wow I love those dawn shots. The lightning is almost real. Guys I give 2 years for games/movies to trick us against the real thing :D

The only problem I don't see solved is resolution. You will always find aliasing or pixels unless the resolution goes to the point the eye can't see, and that could be like what, 400dpi?

/EDITdoes this game run on vista and xp or just vista?Look at this:Crysis will be one of the first titles to use DirectX 10, which will be available exclusively on Windows Vista, though it is currently running on DirectX 9 and existing hardware. In a recent interview with CVG, Bernd Diemer from Crytek had this to say:

Everything you've seen has been running on DX9 and normal hardware you can get in the shops right now. It's all normal spec and doesn't even use a dual processor or anything like that, we don't have any special graphical hardware inside these boxes. However, with DX10 and a dual core CPU, you're going to see something very special indeed.

When we compare Far Cry to Crysis we're talking about two to three levels better in terms of generations, but if you compare DX 9 to DX10 it's at least a generation better, so there's a tangible difference, visually as well as from the intensity. SM4.0?

it says directx 10 is exclusively on windows vista, not the game itself.i thought the game can run on xp as well since it supports directx 9 hardware? if the game is going to be released before vista it would have to support xp as well wouldnt it?

Crysis will no doubt be like Far Cry where you could either have SM3.0 or SM2.0 cards playing it, you just got more effects like HDR with SM3.0. So for Crysis you can play with either SM4.0 or SM3.0. but lose some of the effects.

That's why I am not upgrading my 6800GS Sli yet, I'd rather make a big leap with the next gen cards that can handle Sm4.0 so I do not miss out. Ok, having nice AA is great but I will sacrifice a little AA if I can have some new stunning effects that adds to the realism. Plus the next 3dmark0? might have an SM4.0 game or too and i would not want to miss out on that.

Wow, I wasn't even able to tell if the guy's face was a photo or a textured picture unless I checked the eyelids a bit closer. Amazing

i hope that the AI really wil learn from u and so on and wil keep us busy.

everyone told me the FEAR AI kicked ass and was awesome but tbh i wasnt that impressed.
easy way to beat that AI is to not go to deep into the room this to make shure they cant outflank you.
was impressed by the way the AI moved but not by its tactics.

well they told the AI learned from you i guess if you are those of run and fire the ai will be hiding to catch you or something like that

If that's what it looks like on DX9, DX10 must be photo-realistic. Judging by the description of the jungle, looks like a PhysX card will be neccesary.

I hope my dual core Opteron can handle the game. I'm glad I'm waiting for DX10 gpus before I upgrade.

From what I saw in the video they need to seriously work on the engine before releasing it. Sure it looks great, but the LOD filtering is a bit crazy, when walking into a scene it seems like there is a level missing somehow.

You can see it in the movie, you walk through the jungle and shoot at some guys, then when coming closer to the guy shooting at you a green block in the top transforms into a log or branch falling down. It looks like hell, playing a game with such errors in detail can be very confusing even sickning.

i have a 1900XTX now, if i get a ati CF master card that supports SM4.0, will i be able to run crysis with next gen card and 1900XTX crossfired with DX10 effects? wut happens to the game if a card support 4.0 and one only support 3.0

SLI/CF won't do this game justice with the hardware out now. Time to upgrade to next gen when this badboy hits.

I pray to god this game as good as i want it to be. Far Cry was brilliant, best shooter sine Half Life...Hope it's like Far Cry and a good length, not like a 10 hour rush job like mosot shooter, *Cough* Fear and Quake 4.

ur X1900 is a R580 core and any future ATI card that supports SM4.0 wont be R580 so u cant run em in Crossfire.
they need to be based on the same core to run in crossfire.

It's nice that they are going to offer backwards compatibility for SM3.0.

What is most impressive to me is that ATI has assured me that these two cards do not have to run in CrossFire mode, and thus they do not have to be the same GPU. If you have an X1900 XTX now, and in about eight months you buy a new ATI 2800 XTX, you can save your X1900 XTX for physics calculations. As of now, NVIDIA has said they do not support this feature but see the value in doing so.
