I think the story line after TS / expan was renegade from what the link says.

I still play sc every day with a group of friends, online wise I don't think there has been a stronger game then SC.

My only concern is that WW isn't involved 100% for this game.

well, ive been a fan of the C&C series since the very original. and all of them that westwood has put out have been great (except sole survivor and renegade, but people most never heard of sole survivor)

but the lastest release generals from EA didnt feel like C&C.

i wanna get back to the days of Nod Vs. GDI

lol I played Yuri's Revenge a long time, I did really good. One of the best C&C games tbh. RA1 is still the most addicting game, and most difficult, unlike Generals.

Haha, the original is so great. Easily a classic, I used to play that forever. I hope this one won't be a letdown. I like Red Alert 95 more then any of the others in the series :D

Totally agree, I hope they focus on gameplay. I am worried about EA making this though :rolleyes: WW was a good company, to bad EA took them over and ruined it.

lol RA1 isn't difficult, just build off of your flame towers and tesla coils until you're building in the middle of the enemy's base! lol.

Does anyone know the full story behind the games? It's a well thought-out storyline. Yes, Red Alert, RA2, CnC original, Tiberian Sun, and Tiberian Wars all take place in the same universe, and are different parts of the same story. Anyone know it?

red alert 2 and yuri's revenge...those were the days, until WW went down and cheaters took over

Can't wait for this to come out! The only C&C game I haven't liked so far was Renegade, but it seems I'm the only one who actually really liked C&C Generals/Zero Hour :p: I never played online tho', just over our LAN, the online cheaters seems to be the aspect of the game which has annoyed at least a few ppl.

I got hooked on c&c on the N64.Moved to pc and was addicted.The original and RA1 were my faves.I like generals,but not as much as the originals.Played renegade also but just couldn't get into it.Never did try Tiberian sun or RA2.But I am definitely interested in this new one.

I've played CC for over 7 years now and Tiberium Sun was by far the worst one, IMO it was a bad attempt at stealing some of the Starcraft hype.
I really hope they get it right this time, I can't help it but it but to be a little skeptical.

I actually like the NOD and GDI stuff. Tiberian Sun was good. RA1 was the most tense one, really difficult sometimes. RA2.. very addictive, so is Yuri's Revenge. Multiplayer owns. Renagade was bad. Nice concept but just boring. Generals.. nice try, but boring after a month.

I agree generals was a bit boring, kinda limited. In fact that is the major problem with the CC line, when will they learn that its nice to have RTS that are complex in gameplay. Its not just about goodlooking tanks.

someone mentioned the story linesw being intwertwined, while this IS true.

it does not make sense, check around and you will see even though the different lines are mentioned within one another, but do not make sense.

the orignal c&c being modern day after a meteor crash near tiberius river.

while the original RA being an alternate timeline for WW2.

i personally prefer the original storyline over the RA story line. the RA one was just kinda goofy.

i hope this version has more realistic weaponary. i hated the dolphins and squids in RA2.


and as for the base D wh0res. you guys are always easy to take out. because you guys usually spend all your cash on base D, and have no offense units. bring in a couple of long range missle units and watch them squirm.

Tiberian Sun is C&C 2... and the original C&C game is ... C&C1! So, the third sequel is C&C 3 maybe?

Idk, but pretty much all Westwood games sucked since original RA... and now it's from EA with incompetence.

For me best command and conquer was red alert 2... I also have a copy of tiberium sun here... But after i have buyed red alert 2 with expansion pack yuri's revenge, well... I will wait for new red alert...:woot:
