my x19xt seems to be capped at 725/873. maxed all voltages ried different combonations, nothing. anything above said clock freezes instantly. anyone else having this prob? mabe ati really did hardware limit the xt's, this is not heat or power supply related.

and how about the temps?

not all cards are created equal, OC wise. I can't see the engineers at ati saying "lets cap the XT cards at 725/873", it isn't even nice round numbers. if there were lets say a bunch of people's cards that only OC'd to those numbers, maybe that would signify a cap. Just my oppinion though.

try flash to xtx and see if it's still there.

you may have just hit the limit of the card

PSU?

Have you tried disconnecting everything non essential and running the CPU stock to see if you have a power shortage?

temps are 46c loaded with with 40 ambient atm. under water. ramsinks dont even get warm. im at 725/873 at 1.475/2.150/1.500 i maxed vcore, not even 1 mhz increase. ram is the same

already checked no major fluctuations either, i am also activley cooling the power regulators

sounds like you've hit the wall. your memory controller is better than the one on my XT. first thing i'd suggest is to reduce the overclock of your X2..... then I'd give the core on the card a good solid 1.575. If you still can't break 725 then you've hit the wall.

I'm having a simliar issue here... my mem clocks great (850) but my core only goes to 660 and then freezes. Hits a wall, it doesnt even artifact.

still no progress

I know this might not be the best suggestion, but try raising PCI-E settings to see if you can squeeze some extra clocks out of it ala Nvidia 7800/7900 style.

Yeah, try that, I'm curious to see if it works on these cards.

Have you tried undervolting you ram?

set pci-e freq. all the way up to 115 and gained about 30 mhz on core, but its not stable. locks halfway into proxy06

The only thing that is accomplished by increasing the PCI-E frequency is raising the bandwidth on that interface, which is already ample. If anything, it may disrupt the signaling to the card. I would leave it at 100mhz default.

True, but benching with higher than default freq on the pci-e bus has been shown to result in better clocks. Also, it got him 30mhz more on his card, while it wasnt stable it shows that the card isnt capped.

I have had my PCIE frequency at 105 since the day I bought my setup a year ago and have never had an issue. I have never tried much higher as anything over 105 I was told brings next to nothing in terms of added performance. It seems 105 is a sweet spot for ATI cards.
