Im not sure if I am asking in the correct place but I need some assistance. I have a picture on the computer that was taken with a video camera. I need to clean it up more to see who this person is. Can you reccomend any software?

Photoshop....but, uhhhh, good luck actually cleaning it if its res is too low (or if the JPEG compression is too extreme), you won't get data that's not there, at least not with facial detail in ANY real application (there are a few alpha-phase products that can undo MASSIVE JPEG artifacting for simple things like text or textures [and take a few days to get only a 70% increase], but absolutely nothing for facial detail).

EDIT: oh, and if you post the image....a bunch of us could probably give it a shot as the steps for cleaning up a low-qual image can be pretty damn complex and vary from image to image.

Man I sure wish I could.This is a picture from a security camera that caught a break in at work. Legally I could get in a world of trouble. But I will check with HR and see if I can. Thanks for the willingness to help.

No, unless a certified (by the courts) professional does the alterations and could present them in court....even a small modification to the image will render it useless in a court of law.

i sent it to you guys. I had to host it on imageshack inorder to get it to you. Let me know if I need to do anything else to make it easier or even if its possible to clean it up.

That mask, with my latest changes, seems to definitely be the mask from V for Vendetta. Onto the hat...:party:

I replied in like 5 minutes...so I think it was me :p: (not fair though, I was there when he PM'd us ;))

I have a conclusion on the hat, solely based on the shape of the highlights....I told him over PM, but was waiting for your conclusion because I was REALLY unsure. I think it's a Carolina Panthers hat....a fancy one that has the colors inverted. I went to lids.com and searched for team symbols that had the same shape and the Panthers fit very well. I couldn't actually get a clean showing though :(
