The Geometric clock is raised the amount of the Delta....so if you have a base clock of 450 and a 30 MHz Geometric Clock, once 3D is enabled the card ups the Geometric clock only by 30 MHz.

so if 2d my card is 300, and 3d its 350 lets say, delta is 50mhz?

the way i understand it is my 7800GT was 400 2d and 4253d but had a 50mhz delta which put it upto 475 in 3d aplications
No no (Mnew)...those are just different clock settings for 2D Vs 3D. A Delta is when you take you`re...say...3D clock and a Delta to it so the ROP, Shader and Core clocks increase speeds at different rates. The core clock can scale higher than the ROP and Shader clocks, and all 3 are "happiest" at integer values of their base clock rates.
Err....i`m not doing a very good job of explaining this, but the thread link above if well explained if ya read through it then start messing with Riva :)
