Corsair part #VS1GSDS667D2

Now sold under value select line, this is the uber part of SODIMM. Currently at 667 3-2-2-5 1T. 100% stable

If CPUID ran on my developer machine I would show screenshot. Once I am done I will fire them up on a desktop board for some screens.

This is the top end DDR2 D9GMH, Thanks Vivian & Corsair for the sweet samples. I will be posting benches soon. I wanted to put the word out that these exist and what part to order.

Why the hell is it in value select packaging? I'm sure thats some kind of crime (unless its priced that way as well)

No clue on cost.

Very capable ram, the best possible for SODIMM.

why are they wasting D9 in laptops? when they know they could make a killing in the DDR2 market with D9 when thats what everyone wants... but can't get...

seems like such a waste, all that good D9 going to waste in joe blows dell laptops and such...

Lots of reasons, I have had a lot of requests on my first 1GB D9 kit and figured I would post once I had a good part number on 2GB kit.

Besides being able to tweak to tightest timing with no voltage increase at rated speed this stuff also goes very fast.

If one were to have a MOD "mobile on desktop" board that had SODIMM this is great info.

And some people do need good performance for laptops so.... I don't see the problem in it all.

I want good performance to, and if its programmed to run tight timings at stock and OCable I can see a good future for this ram in laptops worldwide.

Yes there is a converter for DDR2 SODIMM.

Depends on the laptop and bios options. Save bios file and ask on forum who can do an unhide for you.

Im not sure what models of laptops memset works on.

Depends on the board, most dont have vmem adjustment. I have a few that do.

I joined just for this thread. Has there been any updates on performance etc?

I have been scouring the web, and was pointed here by a fellow member of notebookforums.com.

I have tried to find out more about this particular stick, and everyplace I have seen talks about this being CAS 5 RAM.

Any more information would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind. I did the research. This sodimm part number is a 5-5-5-15 just like all the rest. Furthermore, corsair, crucial, a-data, ocz, mushkin, etc have all been contacted, and nobody has anything better than 5-5-5-15 at 667Mhz in a sodimm. What a shame.

You can still directly modify the SPD so it reads 4-4-4-15 or something
