I guess this graf suit ALL available markets incl. Asian and African as well. So no P4 in US stores in 2007 :D

That is just guestimation beyond Q1 2006, I don't see how they figure this stuff out, the market is so volatile specially with the (increasingly) heavy weight AMD. Sounds like they just want to jack the stocks up.
well it does make sence, judging by their aggressive price policy on conroe and now this it really looks like intel are going for the kill. i must admit looking at the performance of the 2.4ghz 4mb cache chip, its supposed rrp of 'only' ~$350 and the lack of any suitable rival coming out for at least 12 months the future isnt looking too good for amd.
i think they've been caught slightly off guard with AM2, perhaps amd thought they had such a lead in performance they became somewhat complacent, rather like nvidia back in the 9700 pro days

sorry for the dumb question.. but does that mean that Celeron and all its other lower end models are completely gone? or are they just replaced by the P4'

Sounds like Intel is putting alot of their eggs in the Conroe basket.. I bet they just hope it doesn't get kicked around too badly...

I think Celeron just isn't included in that graph. Look at Q2 '06, no Celeron there either.

well, it says Perf/Mainstream Desktops... i don't think celeron really makes the "Perf" category, thus why it's not in here :toast:

Celeron is considered low end and as such would not be accounted for in this chart.

This a tough goal for intel. Most people think more GHz=faster.

Yup. The only way Intel will sell is if they can convince people of their new stance.

I don't think they had to much trouble with convince people to buy dothan why should it be so hard with conroe.
