Just as the thitle says actually,

Is it downtime of the server or is it something with my network connection (doubt it since everything else runs fine).

Thanks

I think you have to remember that this is run from a high end DX3200 machine and needs to back up the DB often due to the amount of imput..I can imagine the effect of all the upped graphics on this server..I'm surprised that it runs as good as it does.

 , good first post :p:

It's strange though as the downtime seems to affect different areas, atleast i think. As whenever i finally am aloud back in there have been posts during the time it appeared to be down

Maybe FUGGER could start a thread where we should all chip in for a new server, i know i wouldnt mind lending £10 or so, especially if it ran rossetta  . Just a thought :toast:

it has been down a lot lately, but i dont think its server issues, the current server is one of FCG's older rigs, a good DX rig
it could be, but i think there's more in this than simply a hardware issue

Does the server reboot every day or something?

Fugger made some hardware changes, but the database is having problems.
He's working on it and tries to have it fixed as soon as possible.
All we can ask is a little patience. :)

Because Fugger wanted to overclock and Benchmark the Servers..

What part of database is unstable? Backup process? The reorganizing indexes? Or the application link to it itself (gasp!). My primary job happens to be DBA.
