LOL yes they shouldn't.

Good attempt though! I got 10k on Air and vf700. Clocks were 680/693MHz 1.350v/2.2v. No hardmods.

Nice results, bad end. I just ripped off my old Zalman ramsinks off my XT. Came off easy, so..

It was scary though, especailly because of the horror stories I've seen.

sorry for that loss,
but isnt that 3DM05 score a bit low? with your settings.....
at those speeds you should have 9800 or so but doesnt matter now ....
now be gentle on that XT you will have .... GIVE IT SOME 10K+ in 3DM05 :toast:

wow, that sucks big time. doesn't look fixable either - you can see all the traces ripped off the pcb, they are attached to some of the ram chips still... did you's epoxy the heatsinks on there? it sure looks like it

wow, now im going to be VERY careful if i ever decide to take ramsinks off. if EVER

would be funny to clean up the traces so they are not grounding out or touching each other and see if it actually still ran

i killed half the ram on a geforce 2 and it still worked fine. it recognized as a 32mb card instead of 64mb. i say clean it up and give her a try if its not shorting it shouldnt harm your system

Oh my goooood. What a waste by using wrong glue.

Yes, he obviously used epoxy(and tried to take the heatsinks back off).

I would NEVER epoxy ramsinks(or anything) on such a new card. I would do it on an older card of course.

how do you properly attach ramsinks? I managed that on a Radeon X1800XL as well, what a :banana::banana::banana::banana:.

Just throw some JB Weld onto them... j/k :p: (the color of the epoxy used by the OP kinda looks like JB Weld, but then again, I dunno what heatsink epoxy looks like after mixing... as i've never used the ones I purchased a while ago).

Wow, What a great loss.

Although your bench scores look a little low considering the speeds it was running at. My scores in sig:)

His scores low due to the memory being clocked in OC. Only reason why his memory is at 800+ with such a low voltage.

But ouch man that does suck big time.
