Oh so I'm not the only getting it :slap: Doesn't make any difference, it's gone after 1 second.

Pretty minor improvement, but consistent it seems.

what about all these negitive info I keep hearing about the 6.4's? like Atitool not working at all with it. I have been waiting this week to DL them because of all the bad talk about them on this forum

ati techs have responded to feedback from people on the various forums and are testing for these errors that we all found. probably see a patch or new release in a few days

that's odd all ATI Tech told me was make sure I installed them properly. I had to resend my compliant.

Everyone is having that issue...when running benchmarks though it doesn't affect it at all...it actually improves it. I did notice an improvement as well when I ram 3DMark05.

Personally i will give a try to this one again.. but it seems the Hotfix give same gain in 3D06 &3D05 vs the 6.3/6.4.. so certainly i will stay with it before have more info... ( and i don't play Oblivion yet.. yes i know it's a shame..:D )

I wish I could play oblivion I get nothing but crashes to desktop when I have my X-fi running the game.

Then disable that X-Fi :p:

BTW I do get the corruption at startup, but then, whats the problem? :stick:

You think a graphic corruption is something that is worth 1 uninstall, 2 installs, 2 restarts and a performance decrease? I seriously don't see what the issue is at all. Its not like OOH MAN LOOK AT THAT, ITS A CORRUPTEDZOR SCREENZ!!!11! THAT DOES NOTHING!@!!

Sorry, I just fail to see the problem. I like these drivers because they fix some issues I was having encoding video from my camcorder. And they improve AVIVO's image quality :)

Def probs with ATiTool!! Since I'm not benching at the moment I just uninsalled ATiTool and reenabled the two ATi Startup files. We'll see what happens. I do not get that corrupt screen at startup.

hmm i havnt noticed any probs with using ati tool but using the 6.4's my max stable overclock goes down to 600/1200 whereas i can clock to 648/1260 without any probs with the 6.3, at 600/1200 and the 6.4's the card just freezes on 3d mark. using radlinker to clock the card just for reference

I see 2  :p:

Nice comparison, but as long as it has the windows boot bug I'll rather stick to the 6,3

I do too. Sorry, must have not loaded or something. I did search for it.

And yeah, boot bug is a :banana::banana::banana::banana:.
