I tested only in 03 and 05 Marks on GF6600. Result about same as on 84.21 / 84.25

BF2 seems to run better with these drivers.

Someone from the green side says AA works better in oblivion than before. No HDR+AA yet though ;)

Is the AA+HDR problem in Oblivion a hardware limitation from nVidia or is it possible to get AA+HDR with the 7900 seires?

Its a hardware limitation.

Its a hardware limitation.
?? if its a limitation then nothing should be able to run it but ATI cards are able to..

no simply put the 7900s cant handle FP16 HDR + AA... while the x1800/1900s can if the devs allow it

I uninstall drivers then when I open drivercleaner pro, what all do i have to remove to make sure all driver parts are out and fresh ones go in with out a hitch?

Doesn't HDR + AA work with the HL HDR demo??

Different implementation. :)

Valve >> *

IIRC, SSAA + HDR does work the stardard HDR implementation (the one EVERY game except Valve's uses). But good luck running that at playable framerates.

I tired this the other day with SSAA + HDR with SSAA forced in the drivers and I didn't notice a performance drop or IQ improvement in oblivion...is oblivion overiding the drivers somehow? You guys think you could run 2x SSAA with HDR with 2 oc'd 7900 gt's in SLI? if someone has 7900 SLI could they try that out?

Nice to see new drivers, nvidia's driver team pwns!

I think my cards in SLI are a pretty good candidate for SLI + 4x SSAA + HDR in Oblivion... :D

I'll be picking up the game this afternoon. :)

If it doesn't change anything, why would you even care?

:stick:

My guess is oblivion is using fullspeed HDR, and with that there is no way they could get HDR+AA on nvidia hardware. If they switch to a different implementation nvidia will suffer from the performance hit.

Well, I was wondering if this is Oblivion only or if any game using FP16 HDR keeps Nvidia hardware from forcing SSAA... I really want to seem some results with this, because not being able to run AA in oblivion is KILLING me... I currently own a 7900 gt but if I can't get AA to be playable even in SLI with HDR on...I may have to jump ship to ATI once again (man I go back and forth ALOT!)

FCG - When ya get it could ya give it a shot and give us your findings once you get the game, that'd be GREATLY appreciated!

Any game with FP16 HDR enabled will not allow AA to be enabled on Nvidia hardware.

seriously nvidia is falling behind on this :banana::banana::banana: then...thats rediculous that ati cards can run it and ours can't it just looks bad at times with AA not enabled because im not turning off hdr in this game cause it looks so damn good

Something weird going on with my setup. Seeing an artifical cap of 50 FPS in Oblivion. Mostly hangs between 42 and 50. But never goes above 50 FPS. Help!

FPS = Frames Per Second in the game... not the refresh rate of your monitor..

If vsync is on then the maximum frame rate (FPS) = refresh rate (in Hz)....

i.e. vsync = enabled, then FPSmax = refresh rate and if RR = 60Hz then FPSmax = 60 FPS.

no, vsync is not enabled
and my RR is 75Hz...
hmmm

I'm also playing at 1280x1024x32 with EVERYTHING turned on max....maybe this is why. When people report their FPS, what resolution are they using??

Your iMinFPS and iMaxFPS(in Oblivion.cfg)are defaulted@20FPS(iMin)and 60FPS(iMax) go into your "My Games" folder in My Documents to edit.
