hey guys,

havent been here in a while.
im just wondering if the DPS 6phase power module on the Gigabyte K8NXP-SLi should be removed when overclocking.

currently my 0530 CCBWE TPMW 165'er is at 2.550 ghz, on 1.375 volts.
but cpu-z likes to report jumps in voltages to 1.4 sometimes.

my case is getting little to no airflow, so im sitting at 39 degrees with the fan at a low PWM, but it goes down to about 34 when the fan kicks in.

i have tons of fans in my case, and a HYPER48 cooler, and i reapplied the thermal AS5 (helped a bit). i also soldered one of the leads on my fan to make it operate at full 3500 when not using PWM. (load as mothball-fusker!!)

anyways.

DPS Module, yay or nay!?

Should it be REMOVED? I don't see why, unless it's not working as intended. It's supposed to increase stability if anything.

just wonderin.
maybe its my crappy Enermax power supply that's being a piece of poo.

whats generally a good power supply that replaces the 460 enermax.

DPS module is totally useless.
