Would you rather have an opteron 170@2.9ghz with a 1160fsb OR
an opteron 170@3.0ghz and a 995 fsb?

fsb doesnt matter. The more mhz the better. 29 second PI time is great but not xtreme.

You seem to have all the answers you need here but I'll pitch in my own. The higher clock speed is going to be your best bet. FSB speed does not matter much anymore with the AMD64 processors.
