Unable to find any benchmarks, I was hoping some of you who have been using these chips could answer this question... how do the newark/turion mobile chips compare to their desktop counterparts concerning performance (games, general system, etc)
Take say a newark 4000+ oc'd to around 3ghz... what desktop model would that compare to?
Thanks.
It wouldn't have a stock equivalent, but it would be roughtly equal to any other 3.0Ghz overclocked AMD. It all depends on what RAM, with FSB, timings, temps, etc.

a 3ghz newark would be the same as a 3ghz 754 clawhammer.

newark maybe a lil quicker with ram .... hence the better mem controller ....maybe a lil more mb/s?

All AMD K8 CPUs whether Server, Desktop, or mobile are the same :fact: As long as they are running the same HTT, same RAM and have the same amount of L2 cache.
