I need a really reliable mobo for an FX60. This is going to be a backup system for a very wealthy kid. The only thing he needs is Sata raid, 1 PCIE slot, FX60 supports, and just to be reliable. Any advise? I would like to keep it under like $110 if possible.

He mentioned he is looking for an basic mobo for the fx60, lol.
Why would he buy an 3800+ ?, when he already has the fx60. ;)
For mobo DFI Ultra-D, they are cheap enough for such an nice
board.

No need for SLI... Rather not pay the extra for it...

Anyone know if these are reliable? Looks like what I need with Sata Raid and it has fx60 support.

Excellent board. GigaByte stable (very stable)
It wont OC worth crap without a dozen voltmods.. but as a standby stable rig.. it is an Excellent choice

I personally like MSI for stability... the NF4 Platinum is a nice one

His goal is only 3GHZ out of the FX60 with a big typhoon on it. Think I will be able to get that with the options on the gigabyte or should I go with this MSI?

With an FX60's unlocked multi and a good heat sink.. shouldn't be a problem...

If thats his goal you better get an DFI U-D or eXpert. :p:
Unless of course you want to start vmodding mobos. ;)

LOL, thats the board I mentioned in my very
1st post in this thread. :p:
The U-D will get the job done and make sure to flash to newest bios for
the U-D(Ultra-D). :toast:

For a stable NF4 board thats decently priced and has good features, i like the MSI NEO4. I've built a few dual core rigs of this board and all of them run great.
My 2 cents.

The first two are Crap.. and actually yes all of these boards DO support the FX60.. as DO ALL s939 boards.. All it requires is a bios flash

From what I am reading... it seems like the main priority is to find a board that can get a FX60 to 3.0 GHZ...
It would be much easier if we can know it is on air, or water...
Just for my $0.02, I think the Biostar 6100 should be the choice.

evga doesn't make the mobo, they brand it. If that's the board I think it is, it's made by Jetway.
