i am putting together a P-D805 rig with an Asus P5 945 board. now the FSB is 133mhz on these CPUs but i will (obviously) be tryin to put that up to 200fsb and get stable at 4GHz (initially). ive not used ddr2 for OCin before and was wondering if someone could tell me what speed i needed to use and how that speed related to my FSB settings.
thanks

im no intel expert, but im guessing the higher the dd2, the more headroom you can get with overclocking as with AMD. dont quote me on this though.

yeah well normally id say the bigger the numbers the more headroom an all that, but given that the fsb is only like to be going to 200mhz am i stupid for gettin more than pc2 3200? i dont fully understand dd2 mem bus speeds from an OCin point of view, which is kinda why im on here beggin advice.
(nice opty by the way blazin-asian, i have been keepin up with you on dfi.)

Depending on Bios settings, I know nothing of your boards bios, You should be able to set DDR2 to 1:2 ie, FSBx2 so if you run 200 FSB you'll get 400mhz RAM.
I have P D 805 here in P5WD2 Premium with some Corsair value ram (VS1GBKIT667D2)
That does 200x 20 4.00 Ghz 1.4875V
Ram at 1:2 400mhz 5-4-4-12 1.9V
Good cheap system IMO
