Just curious who all is still into the D2OL project. Personally I find it a pretty low maintenance project so I've move my home computers to it... again. ;)

I still do D2OL mainly. It has a nice interface and it is easy to bring a friend to d2ol because you can look at something. rosetta is boring considering the "what you can see".
I will remove the dead nodes soon and you will see there are not that much computers left in team_germany.
What I was able to get for d2ol:
2 systems on work (P4 3GHZ 1GB RAM and Venice 3200+ (2GHZ) 2GB RAM)
friend's pc and laptop (not sure 2GHZ Barton and a P-M I think)
girl friends and fathers PC (P4 1.8 & 3 GHZ)
my server 1.7GHZ celeron, dual PIII 933MHZ (switching to r@h sometimes)
and sometimes my dual core (without compressor grrrrrrr) @2250MHZ (shame on me this sux)

Yes, there are tons of people running rosetta right now(i believe, 180 rigs active?) We have struggled to fend off the DPC's "stampede" and are looking for more short term recruits. like for a week.


I also prefer D2ol. but the last generation of it left a pretty bad taste in alot of peoples mouths. But am curious to see how good it really is now. How would my 3 rigs do on points in d20L the new version BTW see sig vvvv one not in sig is P3 dual xeon 700/2m/100.

well as long as you have nodes created before 24 january 2006 you only have to flush all tasks, get new ones and you are back on track :toast:

Basically, my two DX rigs are going D2OLing once they run out of R@H WUs... they were udder crap in R@H (bad pun :D).

Any tips on optimizing the new D2OL? I want these babies to shine...

OK.... I had a moment of weakness and decided to delay D2OL deployment on my DX rigs... There is a milestone in R@H that I want to reach and it should only take about 45 days to get there, I hope you guys can hold out till then... GOAL: 1 million in R@H.

The more rigs you get going on rosetta, the faster you get to your 1mil.

:lol: Finally looked into why my production was so low... seems 4 of the 6 clients I had running at home weren't getting credit. I reset the node.prp files and wow... I'm getting credit now. :D (hopefully the non-credited work at least got into the D2OL system)
