Was wondering if there is anything new on the compressor market. Looking for a compressor that would be as powerfull as the nf11fx (thats the US 115v model right?) but something thats a bit more energy efficient maybe 250w max power consumption and very quiet :) on 115v Anything out there that fits the bill?
NF9FX is decent
Have a few FGH70HA on my hands but looking for the same power usage, and noise levels but with more power.
Whats the deal with new Embraco NEK compressors? Specs?

tecumseh AZA0395YXA
I just built a unit using the LianLi V2000....i believe they are about 1/5 HP and its pretty quiet.
I have it static charged to about 70psi and run about 4" and 180psi on the high side...goes from 20C to -45C in 3 minutes....haven't tried putting a load on it yet, but chilly1 turned me onto this model, for he has used a a couple times i believe too.

502...but any of its replacements will work/be fine for it....404 and etc...
9oz. of 150 viscosity POE for that compressor too.

That compressor is very quiet and is good choice for most uses :) Small too.
Latest in compressor scene really is NEK line from embraco which is energy efficient and quieter than their siblings. However, it comes with too high of price tag. Thought my danfoss was expensive than this embraco beats it by another $80 or so for same capacity one.

The tecumseh AZA0395YXA is great but it hardly has the NL9FX's power. To weak. This is going on a chiller which will cool the lastest amd chip and 2 latest cards in crossfire, whichever will be best by christmas. I ballpark 400w load at most. That compressor is a bit small =/
So far NL9FX is the best option it seems.

everyone should keep in mind....
AMD is moving to 65nm pretty much now.....Intel is already there and soon will be 45nm....
heat load is dropping.

Thats true but butter safe then sorry. How about video cards, gpus going down to 65nm?

heatload of GPU' is already small, and they are also dropping in size.
Don't quote me, but look at teh new 7900 series cards...small changes from 7800 and went to a smaller die size...apparently the memory doesn't need to be cooled like it used to now, b/c of the smaller die's....
In another years time or so....we will no longer need big monster compressors...
Sad, i have about 5 horsepower in compressors laying around
