Hey guys, I got some things to finalize for my single stage. Here we go.

Here is the info I have on the system:
a) Triple Evap
1. Air Coil
2. CPU
3. GPU
b) Tecumseh Condensing Unit : http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/4396/tecumseh4gi.jpg
c) R507 OR R404A

Questions:
a) How many TXVs should I utilize? I prefer using TXVs so advice on how many would be great.
b) Continuing question a, should the number of TXVs correspond to the number of evap lines? For example if two TXVs should it be one for the GPU/COIL and one for the CPU? Or three TXVs, one for each?
c) Which type of TXV. I've seen the "CPEV Fach "PZ"" recently mentioned in piotres's post. But I know Danfoss also makes quality TXVs. For my setup which would you recommend?

I got everything laid out. If you are thinking why the COIL, well it is a chillbox I'm sure you guessed but it is sealed air-tight. This is my 3rd chill-box so no worries. The dual-evap dd inside is the change. My efforts are to obviously achieve the maximum temperature accross all temps. -30C AIR, -55 to -60C on dd evaps (NO LOAD) would be my high-end goal.

I would reccommend that you not make a 3-evap system.

It won't work, especially not with a single 1/4hp compressor.

For a dual evap system you can do a couple things:

1: you can just use cap tube. maybe .026 for this.
2: you can use 2 CPEV's...
3: you can use 1 TXV and put the evaps in series.

etc.

I don't think there is an established "right" way to do it.

With my compressor, what orifice should I use with a Danfoss TS2 TXV?

Code No.
TS2 R507 / R404A Internal Range ā€˜N’

BOC Part No. Orifice number
Rated capacity* (kW)
R404A
T20X 0X 0.38
T200 00 0.7
T201 01 1.6
T202 02 2.1
T203 03 4.2
T204 04 6.0
T205 05 7.7
T206 06 9.1

The R404A correlates with the R507 so the above chart has the possible orifices. So what orifice works best with my setup?

Does anyone have an answer to the above question. It would be incredibly helpful, thanks guys.

You can't use a Danfoss TXV, because all of them are too strong for a single stage....

Yes true. I thought the compressor was 3/4HP for the longest time. Now I know the ugly truth.

Now I need to retrofit the 3/4HP compressor I am eyeing. Then I'll work of two TXVs in single stage.

Another question:
What orifice for the Danfoss TUAEs? Keep in mind this is a 3/4HP triple evap.

And if anyone is selling these PM me.

Thanks!
