Right, seeing as i havn't been able to acess the forum i thought i better give you an update-
The problem now is Space- The Having the tubing coming out and kinking next to the DVD drive cased the flow to pretty much die, when i was testing it with water and no pump- So i ordered some smaller nuts, they wouldn't fit becase the had the wrong thread (even though they were advitised as the correct ones- So, i pulled out everything i could, went to be with my cat, and watched fight club.
this morning i had a brainwave !!!!!!
I got some 4cm long bolts, screwed them through the Coolermaster PSU retention plate and then stuck 9nuts on the otherside and bolted it back on- the back inch of the PSU is now outside of the case if you know what i mean.
So, i finally got the bolts back and tried to put the rad in the other way around- fans on to but barbs at the back of the case-
Had to dremel down 2mm of alu. in two places, when BOOM!!! my dremel died!
so im now off to B&Q on my bike to get a new one-

Hello again.
First before i start i would like to introduce you to my favorite tool- its not even a power tool, its a.....
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/TheBeast.jpg
20 year old Stanly Yankee pump-action Screwdriver.
Now back to the Project log- As i said yesterday, the PSU needed to be moved Backwards due to the size of the modular connectors, here you can see why-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/ModularPSUConnector.jpg
This is how long it is when its back end is hanging out of the case by just over an inch-
The other stuff done recentally-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/DDCParts.jpg
The Laing DDC in bits, and awating the plexi-top and 1/2" barbs that should come tommorow-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/DangerDenTDX.jpg
The DD TDX block in bits waiting for a A64 lucite top also coming tommorow-
Now, back onto the PSU modification-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/ModdedPSUCage.jpg
2 small holes cut in the PSU holder in the back, so that the barbs dont kink-
still need to file it down though-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/UVDyeWaterwetter.jpg
And some UV blue bye and water wetter-
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/Tools.jpg
And finally, the tools of my trade-
And lots of stuff tomorrow when i get my watercooling stuff.

eeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr.............................. ..........................
I may have been recently overcome by the dreaded flu (not bird i hope!)
but i managed to get some stuff done-
As usual i got woken by the Postie (called Phil, and a real nice Chap!) and he handed me a package - it was my Water Cooling stuff from www.coolercases.co.uk (thanks Paul!)
so quickly i did the various modifications a bam-

Dual Floppy Bay REs soon to be replaced by Single Bay Res.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/1.jpg
Ready for testing?
Unfortunately, there was a tear in the tubing by the pump, so all work has stopped, the Pump is in Bits and the case is drying out.
AJ. Manktelow.

05-22-2006, 05:04 AM
righy ho...
little update.. but no picceys due to lack of camera!
right- if only i had a camera-
i have now completed the top of the case, and scince i have re-drilled the mounting holes, the bloody PSU now fits.
(sorry for use of lanquage, but i really pee's me off that i bought such a s**te PSU due to the length of the modular connenctions)
Now, with all the WC blocks (apart from a Low Profile Maze-4 on the GPU) i simply need to find a wat to mount a Coolplex 25 res inside , along the bottom mabey?) or i need to go and buy a day res. Also, its time to re-run the loop!!
and, i think due to space, i can get a real 5.25 Bay fan controller!!
i think the bays will go....
Cold cathodes switches / stickers
Fan controller
Bay res?
NEC 4570A DVD-RW
well, here is some stuff about the RAM, i know its only PC-3200 but it will be swapped for some PC-4400 and a DFi Lanparty SLi-DR at a later date.

The CMX1024-3200PRO is a 1 GByte, two bank unbuffered DDR SDRAM DIMM. This module was developed for gaming and graphics applications that require large memory arrays. It offers an unprecedented combination of high speed and high density. This memory has been verified to operate at DDR400 (200 MHz at 3-4-4-8). This module is also available in matched pairs of "TwinX" modules tested together in a dual channel DDR motherboard. As part of Corsair's new XMS ProSeries, this module includes the new highefficiency aluminum XMS heatsink, and 18 activity LED's that show the level of memory activity on each bank. It has been tested extensively in a variety of motherboards commonly used in gaming rigs.
And also, something im looking forwards of mega-OC'ing

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f266/Mankz_91/DaXX/DSC00023.jpg

I have this thing for 2 years now. I hope it will work for you. Mine always "beep" for nothing. It's a common problem with this device. I did RMA it to Vantec once, still had the same problem. After that, they told me it was a common problem and they wouldn't exchange it anymore.. Nice customer service
So be ready to use some cutters and cut the damn alarm speaker !
I also have a CoolerMaster Aerogate 3, MUCH better device.
Mankz_91
06-16-2006, 12:05 AM
heard about that, i'll try and use it as normal, and then if there is sill an issue, whip out the dremel and cut some wires.....
Don't get me wrong, this unit is reliable. The pot is very responsive and solid, it's just the alarm that goes crazy. (and the lcd is very poor, but that's another story)
It can be fine for weeks and then start to beep for nothing. After a while, this "alarm feature" start to be useless since every time it beep, you don't even look at it anymore knowing it's a false alarm..
