Been following AMD for 4 years, not a fanboy, just going with the fastest.
Heard that the new Intel CPU's coming out and they sound really interesting.
Please explain what they are, like single core dual core, ghz, cache, etc.
All I know is that Conroe 2.67Ghz is suppose to be faster than FX60 @ 2.8 and its a dual core. I did research but some CPU i never even heard of.
Please explain.
So is Yonah the single core version of Conroe?
Sorry if I sound clueless.

Yonah is a mobile processor with a single core, an improved version of Dothan.
Merom is the mobile version of conroe, also dual core.

not completely right net_devil.
yonah is indeed an improved dothan, but dual core, wiht 2MB shared L2
conroe is also dual core, and i think has 4MB shared L2, but im not sure about that.

Conroe has multiple versions, some with 4m L2 some with 2MB L2. Higher end ones are 4MB L2. Ofcourse, the intel road map is the source of all info. I will shut myself up now.
