Same the world over. I'm UK based, and had a similar experience with a monitor getting delivered to me. 1st they said it was delivered, when it wasn't. Finally it arrived on the 3rd attempt smashed to bits. Gits the lot of them.

Wow just read this .. This really really sucks .. Somebody should be able to take some serious legal action against shipping companys for all the damage and :banana::banana::banana: that they have caused .. There's just no need for it and concidering the amount that they charge it's just not on.
I hope you manage to get your clame sorted out ASAP mate. (I assume you are claming.)
I would say look on the bright side that you get to practice your Phase building (Repairing) skills some more hence your units can become even more awesome than they already are .. But hell I'm sure you've had enough with it all. :(

Ups really sucks. I built a computer for a friend, payed $200 to ship it overnight saturday delivery and it got there 4 days late and damaged. Put in my claim and rebuilt the computer. Shipped it overnight again and although it got there on time it looked like someone used the computer for a soccerball... I feel your pain.

What interests me is, what Receiver (Dementor, right) has to say about this situation? How did it happen that 3 delivery attempts were made and he was not in for any of them? Did he not know that his cooler was coming? When I was getting mine I was checking tracking information EVERY day...
Sorry to hear that it caused you trouble, Reggie.

Lately UPS is certainly dropping the ball.
In my area, we have a lazy driver. I've seen him do, just this:
He pulls up in the driveway.
Looks for the package in the truck.
Sits back down.
Plays with his little tablet for a few seconds
Drives away.
I have a feeling, that if there are no cars in the driveway, they figure noone is home. Lucky me, I was in the living room because my car was being worked on. I confronted him about it the next day, and he said he rang the bell a few times, and left a ticket.
UPS's tickets are not like FedEX tickets, they have to STICK to something. FedEx I believe is just a Bill Of Laiding that slides in your door.
Screw UPS, I switched to USPS/FedEx.

chilly how can you blame ups, when 3 attempts to deliver where made and no one was there to sign for it. the person receiving should have had the tracking number and have been expecting the package.
If they were not home because of work or another reason during delivery times you can call ups and arrange for it to be picked up at there facility. I relize the driver might have not left a tag or left it at the wrong door, but when it doesn,t show up the first day , the person expecting the package should have contacted ups.If anybody was to blame its the person who it was shipped to, unless no one sent them a tracking number.

it arrived on 3/8 in brooklyn ,it was still in brooklyn on 3/20 they been hauling it around for 12 days, plus 2 cross country trips. it says the pallet was smashed not the unit, anyway the ups store packed it so they will cover the damage.
They kept it for 12 days and no one tried to inquire or track the late package ???

"Sir, we seem to have lost an engine" "Wuza what?" " "AN ENGINE" "Wasn't it on the plane when we left" "I think so, but not too shure" "did you check the glove box?" "Ya not there either!" "Hmmm what about the packages" "Pac-ka-ge-s?"

Okay so their plane fell apart, and they didn't know it. As long as I wasn't waiting for an intact plane then all I care about is that the package got there. I personally don't trust any shipping company as far as they can throw my packages.

i ship well over 100 packages a day and receive several hundred a day from fedex and UPS. UPS is by far the better carrier. the majority of the boxes I receive from fedex are damaged in some form.

I have never had good luck with UPS! A friend of mine owns a UPS store and I ship USPS there instead of UPS:) When I was living at Chilly1's house I had seen at least 20 packages get damaged and have to come back for repair. He spent more time on the phone fighting with UPS than anything. Its the Ace Venrura style of delivery. I have used fedex as well but if its not going overnight then its not woth it either. I love this pic:)

our UPS rep has that picture on the wall in his office :)
If he wants 100% safe shipping use a freight service. its not THAT expensive.

i dont like any shipping Companies... i see them throw my VERY FRAGILE!!! packages from the inside of truck onto the ground lol... i also learned, you must always kiss ass if you want your stuff in one piece

how do you kiss ass if you dont know whos ass to kiss. Ordered something last night but hard to find the right ass. Advice?

you dont neccesarily have to kiss ass, you just have to be nice

I dought you being nice to whomever will make any effect on the hundreds of people who will be handling your package while it is shipped. Besides how do you be nice to newegg for example, put hearts and smilies in the commet box when submitting an order or something?

I get REALLY frustrated with UPS/FEDEX/DH-HELL also
if you rank all the packages that get lost by them all, UPS comes out on top, they lose like .01-3% of their packages... fedex is at like 1%, and DHL loses 2-3% or something insane.
DHL is by far the worst shipping company in terms of stats.
Depending on where you live, your driver really makes the experience a good or bad one. My UPS guy here absolutely rocks.
The DHL guy here is a :banana::banana::banana::banana:. I live downtown boston, and he left a package in front of my door, unauthroized to do so, and someone stole it. 100's of people walk by my apartment every day, I live in a really busy part of town.... and he just left it there.
UPS claims are TERRIBLE! If they damage anything, or lose anything, say bye to your money for atleast a month.
FEDEX EXPRESS is very good, FEDEX GROUND SUCKS. Dont be confused, FEDEX EXPRESS is run totally different than ground.

I've never had a package that has come from the US to UK via USPS turn up damaged.
I've had stuff sent from within the UK by DHL and its turned up like this:
http://superficial.net/car/62ED0006.jpg
:(
The above said, you can't really blame UPS if they genuinely tried to deliver it 3 times without anyone answering the door or whatever. Whenever I'm expecting things I follow the tracking status constantly and make sure Im available personally to sign for it.

Can you use Fedex Express? Its air, and they usually take REAL good care of the packages.
