I have a laptop at work that i keep running 24/7 and I thought about installing boinc on it to use with Rosetta.
The problem is that there is a proxy which look like http://address:8080/address
In firefox, the address is put in the automatic proxy setup.
I tried to put the address in boinc but i couldn't connect to anything.
Can you tell me how to setup the proxy and get started on the project?

What exactly have you tried?
There is a Proxy setup in Boinc manager -> options
From what I can tell, it has the same options than the Internet Explorer settings, so it should work somehow.
But have a look at temps in case its running. I had D2ol running on my ibook and I dont think notebooks are made to run stressed 24/7.

I've seen the proxy setup and it only ask me to choose between http and socks proxy.
On internet explorer, i can use an automatic config script.
As for the laptop, it's the company so i'm not too worried about it :)
Edit : nevermind for the proxy, it's running now. It was port issue, boinc was trying to connect to the port 80 and on the proxy it was the 8080

If the laptop cant handle running full out for 24/7, it sure cant handle it for a couple hours either.

I've been running Rosetta for some hours now (17h exactly), I have so far a 100 credits (average 187). When i go back home i'll add the pc and i still need to figure out how t make it work on a mini intel.
Now the fan is blowing all the time.
