k thanxs, i didnt expect no special tricks, just curious what insides look like, condenser used etc. from the looks of the case, have ya though of doing dual compressors unit inside and maybe a cpu unit, then on second compressor unit a dual head SLI, im sure one of the findland team members would be interested in such a beast.
still interested in pic when ya get the chance ;)

I bet you could do it with a coaxial heat exchanger above the condenser, plate HX vertical orientation would make it hard.

Search the Vapochill fora for modifications, they say it's compatible with R404a but startup problems CAN occur.

I modded a VapoXE once and it works flawless with R507 ;)

Hmm, seems like the bolts that keep the rotary compressor helt to it's base cracked or have been loosely tightened. Otherwise the outside of the package looks nice. If the problem was with the GLS shipping, the damage to the packaging would be visible, right?

LD, inspect those bolts & housing ASAP! It seems like loose compressor is making the pasta out of interior... :( From an engineering stance I can tell you that there is something very wrong in the design of this case. The weight distribution with rotary compressors isn't the same as they're higher thus making bigger momentum on the structure of the chassis, especially on the bolts. You really need to redefine something in this chassis.

Just my 2 cents.

Brettbeck
03-04-2007, 04:35 AM
Awesome job as allways LD. Do you paint the brazed joints so you don't have to clean them to make them shine :p:?

LittleDevil
03-04-2007, 07:00 AM
@tiborrr: Thank you for your advice, but problem isn't in case or bolts but i got too small washers... And we will solve that problem too so there is no problem....

@Brettbeck: Only for better looking, i always clean brazed joints...

Hey littledevil, a "simple" question. Would it be possible to chrome the compressor? Would look so damn nice under some blue lightning in a silver V2100
case.

tim-
12-08-2007, 05:00 PM
painted compressor means no warranty, but for sure, it's no problem to paint it with "chrome".

but i wouldn't recommend v2100, to small airflow true the front since you have the door in front. v2000 is a better choise.

Yeah, thats true about the V2100.
I was actually thinking of real chrome plating, would that be possible? I mean, painting with "chrome" is a bit "tattigt" ;)

tim-
12-08-2007, 05:07 PM
i don't think so. since the method to make the crome can cause issues for the sealing between electrical socket and shell.

if you want to make it "chrome" either paint it or polish it and clearcoat. to be honest, I would keep it black.

NysoO

Course, I'm simply brainstorming a bit :)

[XC] 2long4u

It looks like a LG NJ282P R-407C or LG NJ236P R-407C compressor.
I thought LG's had much smaller accumulators... but that logo sure looks lg.

nice work ld!

Do these SS units make a lot of noise?

Do these SS units make a lot of noise?

Not sure if you meant LD's units... or just single stages in general.

Either way, the loudest part is probably going to be the fan on the condenser. The compresser in a single stage is usually just a low faint hum.

LittleDevil

Rotary unit is pretty loud, compressor is louder than fan.

NL11F units are quiet, we can say that fan on condensor is louder than compressor. ;)

Ok, finally after like 3 weeks, Norwegian Toll/customs released this package from LD.
I have been waiting, and waiting..lol
But, it was so worth the wait, the unit described in earlier posts here is simply awesome:D

LD has done a very good job in finetuneing this little SS.
Im goona use it for my Xeons (3060,3070 and X3220 quad)

From what i have tested so far, it seems like i can run my quad easy on 1.65vcore 2 cores, have not tested load on 4 cores yet, only fast wprime.
I have a G0 quad, possible they runs cooler than other not G0 chip.
Because i got good temps, almost too good, so i wanna test with another tempmeter before i give temps here. And run wprime and 3Dmark 06 cputest

Also mine C2D Xeon 3070@1,635vcore was flying under this SS.
Have a pic of a fast suicidescreen 2 hours ago, i was having no problem benching pi, pifast, wprime on 1,635vcore 1 and 2 cores enabled, only a few celcius different from 1-2 cores.

I need test some moore, and find the limit on this SS, so far its looking really good. Im very happy so far.

Thanks LD:cool:

--cheers--

MB used is Asus P5K vcore, vdroop and vdimm modded.
Crucial PC8500 Ballistix@2.4vdimm
ATI pci VGA
Seasonic 700w psu

I am sure that he puts neoprene tape around that whole end because the slit in the tube foam is still visible.

How long is the capillary tube, which you used in the unit? Which diameter? Which pressures do you have? Static pressure? Refrigerant?
