Hi chaps
I have a V17 ABIT motherboard and its a great board but not much options on overclocking and not overclocking the pci/agp bus.The last bios abit did still hasnt got a bios option for pci/agp lock or any better ratios {largest is 6/2/1 , my Z3 P4 will clock amazingly on my mates asus board that has better options than mine.My mobo will allow upto 400mhz fsb but no decent pci speeds as i donty want to overclock the agp/pci and ide.If nobody has one can anyone make a bios that has better options such as agp/pci lock or 7,8,9,10 on the ratios and the ratios for pci/agp to be set right??!!.As my processor on my mates asus will do 300 fsb without any voltage adjustments and hit 4ghz with voltage of 5.25v, so any help would be appreciated as i dont really want to get rid of this board and reinstall windows and verify again with microsoft as its a pain in the butt lol, as i have done quite a few changes on my system and have to verify it over the phone which is soooo annoying lol.
and i know from my cpu testing on mates system and my cooler is upto the task so i really want to run this processor at 300fsb {3.6ghz} not bothered about going any higher than 300fsb as i would need a better cooler to do that and dont really want to go down that route.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can flash my bios with the ABIT live bios flashing tool and choose a manual option if i could get hold of better bios revision with the options i would require to reach the 300fsb and keep the agp/pci speeds to around normal 66/33mhz.
thanks for reading this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
mike
