D 920 motherboard assistance please!!

Hi guys,

Just got a 920 for quite cheap but i'm a bit of an intel newb in all honesty so bear with me. Basically i'm looking for a pci-e capable board that supports ddr1 (i just bought 2gb and dont fancy forking out again). Anyone got any suggestions? Something with a bit of overclocking headroom would be nice but I doubt i'll find that as well.... Any ideas or am I sh*t out of luck?

ps. I need pci-e as i've got a 7600gt sitting here to go in it, if it wasnt for that i'd just have got the asus p5p800 or such :(

grr... dont like the look of any of them boards, looks like I have two options, go back to agp or bite the bullet and get ddr2

Right i'm back, anyone got any experience of this board and is it ok for a decent overclock say about 3.6ghz? I'm thinking of cancelling the 920 d and getting an 805 with 2x1gb value select 533 cos i'm a cheap git

I take it with that ram i'd have to run a divider when overclocking? I've not had a p4 since the 1.6a and the only other intel since then was a 1.6 dothan.

it depends on your ram. you dont have to run a divider, it really depends. get the Asus p5wd2, or the premium version. you might need to do a bios update as well on the asus, i had to. have a spare 775 chip handy.

Thanks for the reply but I got impatient and went with these, hopefully it'll be ok:
