hey ppl, i have OC to 2.7ghz 225x12 with my ram timings at 2.5-3-2-8
1.4v on the CPU with stock Air and 2.74v on the Ram

Scored at 5965 on 3dmark06

also some good news is that i found my GTX isnt stable at the factory OC so now im getting a Refund and ordered the 7900GTX 512 XFX EE with a £65 rebate! :D and ive had it 2 months lol!

any advised on improving this OC? i want a 24/7 system OC.

gotta test its stable but it usualy dont get thru 3dmark06 if its not.

i am a noob at OC btw so go easy lol only my second attempt!

thanks!

2.7 on a dual cool with stock air cooler and a 7900GTx is something a lot of us is dreaming about

i won't recommand trying to go more than that, just start enjoying ur system's speed in games and stuff

Nice OC! This is right, if you want to acheive higher OC, you will have to improve your cooling. So look out for a better cpu heatsink like a TT big typhoon, or get a good watercooling setup. Another good thing to do with dual core is to put a 120mm fan blowing on the PMW area of the motherboard (upper corner right side).

Not that bad, I think the PWM on the Expert run cooler than on Ultra-D, but if I was you, I would try it.

my chipset has been known to go to 56-57 tho am a bit worried about that.. might try and get an evercool fan for it and this stock one is noisier than all the other fans put together!

Or just remove the chipset an, remove stock thermal paste and put some AS5.
