ok i found the oil out,
the compressor is using ''compressor oil (vegetable)''.
is it the same as mineral oil?
To use 404a will i have to change oil(if its not the same as mineral)?
Will it work with 402a(if not with 404a)?
thanks

Vegitible oil will turn to gum and KILL your compressor VERY fast!!<<<
R-290 is compatible with nearly All refridgerant OIls (Minerol, POE, PAG)
Now I'm not shure but been told R-22 Will work with Minerol Oil, but I'd get a second opinion on that befor trying it
R-134a goes with POE oil
45/55% Mass weight R-290 & R-134a will work in a Minerol oil compressor fairly well and give fairly good temps.
A 80/20% Mass weitght mix of R-134a & R-600a Will out perform R-12 and run within range of Minerol oil for a small system due to the gass volocities alone will insure good oil return!

beter off just using pur R-290 by the looks of it, you'll need at least 20% and at that point it will out perform the 404a mix as it would be so diluted if I'm reading my tables right...
Ya, you'd be beter off to use R-290 then bother with a mix, but if you're dead set on 404a NO you'll need POE oil. I don't believe you'll gain any thing by mixing them, perhaps even lose performance.
Again, Check with other more experianced members to be shure.
