Huge box! I can fit in it.... Don't ask... :D

Protective wrapping keeps my investment safe!

Long case!

http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/8351/img09323lw.th.jpg (http://img451.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img09323lw.jpg)
Well designed front panel, everything crammed in! (Note floppy)

http://img451.imageshack.us/img451/9340/img09339it.th.jpg (http://img451.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img09339it.jpg)
Front panel removed exposing racks for 8 hard disks (or 2 [x4] hot swap bays), 3 5 1/4 devices and floppy or memory card reader...
The thumbscrews are really well done and are attached to the racks so they are not lost!
The great construction of this case becomes apparent, alot of care was taken.

An inside shot showing the cavernous case. This will all be filled up by eATX goodness!
3 large 120mm fans are standard.

Another inside shot, The hard disks are cooled by the 2 large fans.

So yeah I picked up this monster for $300 CDN, it will be used for a Opteron server (see sig). I am really impressed with the case so far, fantastic workmanship on every aspect of the build... Chenbro takes pride in each case!

You sir, are the proud owner of a beast.

On the back there are little switches and stuff... what are those for?
Also it looks like it doesn't have a removeable motherboard tray. :(

Not sure where you mean by the switches! :D

I've never seens a removeable tray done perfectly plus this will be in and "forgotten" :D

Very proud though! My landlords will not be pleased...

Sorry, maybe they're standoffs.
On the 5th picture, there are little white boxes with black things sticking out, near the right side of the case next to the lights.

Just the Power, Reset and... To be honest... I'm not sure what the third is for... I'll have to research! :D

I have to move out by the end of the month. Will this thing survive being moved around without the gigantic box and polystyrene? I noticed that they applied a large sheet of plastic wrap on one side to prevent scratches, is this case suceptable to dings and the such?

cheers.

I am so bummed that someone bought this case lol.

When I was building my rig a year ago this month, it was a decision between this case, and a Lian-Li PC-75.

The day I went to go buy the Chenbro, Newegg, stopped carrying them. Bastids.

Good luck with your project though, ya bum. :D

I spent ages looking for places that had this case in Canada.

Walked into a local store and there it was.

I'm glad I got this thing local. Huge box.

Lian-Li V1100 was my 2nd choice.

The worst thing about that case, I learned, is the many different face plates it has. It's really hard when you are looking for a certain part number, and can't find it, then you find out, they have the same case, in at least 5 different faceplate combinations lol.:slap:

Just curious......how heavy is it? I know it's like 1.3mm SECC steel, right?

Don't know an exact weight by it's heavier than any other of my systems, empty!

Wow this is sweet. Now I just have to decide between this, the new Lian Li G70 or a Mountain Mods Twice 7 for my new air cooled case.

That MM looks gigantic...

I've allways loved the look of the G70.

Thats like the perfect case to water cool !. 1 double Rad in the frount 120mm Mounts (if they are.) and bit enough for a treble on top with a little modding!

Maybe it's an ID light button, lights an LED at the rear of the chassis so you know which machine your working on when your round the back of the cabinet. Tends to be a rack-mount chassis feature, but I've seen pedestal cases with them too. Thats my guess anyway.

I like the look of the seperate channel for PSU cooling, I think the intel chassis we use at work are based on/created by Chenbro as the style is very similar, looks bulletproof.

btw Ychocky, whats your opinion on the Seasonic PSU on your Prestonia rig? Putting together a PC-DL dual xeon myself at the mo. Cheers

Seems to hold things together nicely, I don't have a high end card in the system, so that may req. a higher rated model. It seems to have no problems with 2 SL6XK's @ 3.2+

Cool thanks, I'll only have a pair of SL6GG's and an old Ati 9600 in there I think anyway. I keep reading contradicting views on PSU's so I'm scraping together as much info as possible before I get one.
