Hey guy
Have any of u heard of r823?
when i asked my dealer for low temp gases he said he had r404a and r823, is r823 better or worse i could not find any thing on the net.

I can't find it on the charts I normally use, or on google. It might be a brand name of some kind, many gasses are referred to differently by different manufacturers.

so co2 types, it was about 25$ per kg .
i would rather use co2 i can get it for free from the shooting range

CO2 is crap compared to real refrigerants like R23. You can get colose to -90 loaded with R23 but try to do that on CO2 ;)

moreover, using CO2 is the straight way to dice forming in the evap, and high pressure.

Could you go back and get some info on this R823? Never heard of a 800series refrigerant. Technicaly sure every gas can have an R designation.

R designantions are assigned by ASHRAE . there are refrigerants without R designation, they must meet certian critera IIRK.

ok she was talking about r23 only,
in one of are native languages "hindi" 'r' and '8' sound almost the same so i miss heard her on the telephone.
