View Full Version : My goodness XMS3500c2 is FINALLY under$100..
Yep Corsair XMS3500c2 is $94 +$1 2nd day at googlegear.
Now there are 3 great brands( That have proven consistent IMO) to choose from under $95 ( 256)
XMS3500c2 $94
HyperX3500c2 $88
TwinMoss3200 $92 ( Hardwaregods)
Newegg is still selling the XMS3500c2 at the inflated price of $112
If you were thinking about the XMS3500.. now might be the time to get it at googlegear.
Just wanted to pass the info on....

WEll prices had to come down. But I have my memory already. SO no cheap prices for me.;)
All I know is that LATELY I have been checking out a few things at both, and Googlegear has been better for pricing.

Googlegear tests all RMA's:mad:
You can cover a chip in epoxy and put a voltage mod on without newegg noticing.

And they are slow as hell about it! They received my BAD stick of XMS 3200 2 weeks ago and still haven't shipped me a replacement stick! Their RMA process SUCKS! very
Folks might note that although their overall rating is nearly 8, their return rating is about 3.9

Newegg will come down soon now that GG is way down..... Oh and doesn't GG use UPS for shipping I can't stand the slowness that is UPS..:D
Guys I never said GG was the greatest,I think Newegg def. has the best Service I've seen so far, Mwave delivers quick, packed good, with great tracking..... but have never had to return there.
Thanks for the info though.
I'm just passing some info on a good deal is all........:toast:

And yes, they do use UPS, although a lot of second day (which would be nice if they would ship the day you order, but they don't!)

Nice price and sweet speed and timings. Is it rated for 3200, or higher than that?

Damn, those bastards won't even take back my 2 xms 3200 sticks. They sent me an email referring me to corsair. I hope mwave isn't as bad about returns, because this 8rda+ needs to go back too... my luck just sucks lately :(

They wouldn't take mine back until I complained. I wouldn't sweat it - you're inifiniely better off dealing with Corsair. Wish I had.

*sigh* Why do some people attempt to return stuff that thier dumb :cussing: ass broke it is just wrong. :flame:
I however have no problems with those of you who have returned genuinely defective merchandise. :toast:
Btw thanks for the Info Muzz.
Yeah I picked up a stick of the xms3500 from googlegear...
I waited a day or two before going it though, I thought newegg would drop their price...guess not :\

fibo there is a thread at AOA where a guy bought some it didn't work too well, and he says now that Corsair( or Epox not sure) says it may be incompatible.... I'm just telling you what he said.
I advise people get 1 of the 3 I listed at the top, and IMO forget about this "LOW LATENCYmatched sticks crap"... seems like nothing but a bunch of BS marketing to me.
Look around and I think you'll see the 3 brands at the top of this thread are consistant performers.
As far as dealing with Googlegear..... Corsair is very good about RMA's.... go to the HouseofHelp and talk to Ram guy, and they have NP helping you out.... so that basically takes care of that.
IMO buy any of the 3 I have listed to give yourself a chance at high fsb........other brands may do well but the key is ... THEY SEEM TO DO WELL CONSISTENTLY

Yes, I saw the thread at AOA and there is not much controversy going on - wish there was :) arghhh...
I heard the OCZ 3200 C2 "Rev 2" OCs well too - I bought some and wanted to compare with the new Corsair....
I could always return the 3200 xms LL to Corsair and get a replacement if they admit the incompatibility issue...
Thanks,

googlegear - pros
1. low prices
2. fast to ship
3. great selection of parts
googlegear - cons
1. ships UPS
2. bad RMA policies
newegg - pros
1. decent prices
2. best all around service
3. good RMA policies
4. ships FED-EX
5. fast to ship
newegg - cons
*shrug* none that I can think of
mwave - pros
1. good service
2. fast to ship
3. not in CA (so I dun pay taxes!)
mwave - cons
1. highest prices of the 3
2. not as good selection
in the end, I go by price so i find myself shopping googlegear a lot.
all of this is, of course, IMHO :D
When I was searching for an 8RDA+ Mwave was by far the cheapest... but on average I do think they are a lil more $.

I can think of one bad thing, they ship to damn fast..:D Only reason thats a bad thing is if you screw up your order you have to deny shipping from fedex cause once it hits stage two of the ordering process theres no turning back....
But thats also another good thing to add to the list... you can deny the shipping and newegg gives you a full refund.
