I have used my watercooler (no water - it ran on antifreeze @ -22C)
but i`ve realised that the difference between 3.6GHz and 2.8GHz is not so crucial and it`s better for games to OC the graphics cards

but, sadly, FX-57 is dead now :dammit: ... will sit on P4 3.0E till Conroe arrives ...

I have had too much fun with the CPU....
Last few days of its life I have tested our Vapochill, so CPU ran 3.7GHz Prime 24/7 for 3-4 days straight. One morning smelling something burning I`ve realised that the computer doesn`t turn on....
Diagnosis: CPU is dead (tested it on another MoBo - system does not start)

So, these 55 idiots who run their AMD CPUs 3.7GHz+ will sure have `em burned...

It isnt a User problem, If you have your AMD System overclocked atall Steam sucks at figuring it out. Look at the screenshot i snapped of my system!

It displays in the console for any source-based game when you start it. Run the game with -console.

steams abit dodgey it reported that my friends 2.6ghz northy @ 2.92ghz was actually running at 8.6ghz. He has a screenshot of it somewhere i might try and get it from him when my bedrooms finished.

maybe this is just an issue at certain frequencies seeing as my cpu(opt 170) oced to 2.8 detects just fine
