I added an 800MHz P3 running ubuntu, i am trying to get the updated BOINC to run because at the moment it will take it about A day and 3 hours to complete one work unit. I will try to add a P4 rig to, but that one will hardly one 24/7

My understanding is that Rosetta doesn't do as well on Linux as on Windows.
Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.

You're correct, Movieman. The benches aren't as high on *nix as they are in
Windows.

Darnit, i might install windows on it, I have it running *nix because it is located in an xtremely-difficult-to-reach-spot-which-cant-have-a-moniter-there-forever
so i need an OS that will just keep on runing, runing , and runing

That might also have to do with not having optimized clients. try the P3 clients here (http://www.guntec.de/Crunch3r/boincx86.html) and run the benchmark for us. We'll judge it from there.

i installed the optomized client, well at least as far as i can see.
I have to pull the bench from memory so, i think it was around 391 Whetstone and 721 Dhrystone, around there
