Well, I finally got a nice ISO of Win2k and I wanted to try it out. I used Partitionmagic to create a 5GB partition after my main XP partition on my hard drive. Win2k installed fine, but when I try and boot into XP after a restart (I get the normal OS selection screen) Win2k is still trying to load, and I get some stupid error saying that Windows 2000 couldn't find some needed files within my WinXP partition, which obviously it wouldn't. For some reason, Win2k is trying to load no matter what I tell the computer to do.
I'm trying to get back into benching as much as possible, and I wanted to create a tweaked out install of Win2k for 3DMark2001, but this is keeping me from doing so.
If anyone could lend a hand I'd GREATLY appreciate it, because I really wanna give this a shot.

I think that the problem might be due to the fact that during installation of W2k, it has overwritten the ntldr.sys and ntoskrnl.exe files from XP.
These files are necessary for loading an OS, whether it's XP or W2K.
Unfortunately, both files aren't the same for XP or W2K.
So, best you can do is :
1. Install W2K first on your C:\ partition
2. Install XP afterwards on another partition.
Both the ntldr.sys and ntoskrnl.exe from the original W2K install will be replaced by those from XP, but you shouldn't have any problems booting in both W2k or XP anymore.

Very good to know.
I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time I format this machine...can't take the time now to back everything up and resize the partitions, but that does make sense, and I think I remember seeing some reference to ntoskrnl during that error readout.
Thx for the quick reply bro.
