I recently discovered a few quirky things about 3d Mark 2001 that'll help me increase my 19,048 to about 19,500-20,000
1) Unbelievably...Lobby High runs fastest with NO GPU overclock!
324/310 = 110fps 431/358 = 106.2fps and Car Chase High will do 100 at 324/310 and 95 at 431/358.
2) Oddly enough, Lobby High and Car Chase High will run at higher cpu overclocks stably. I can only go 3400 for Car Chase Low, Dragothic Tests and Nature. However I can go 3480 in the "Lows". With a soft fsb tool I'd make it rock! But one's not available for the Albatron PX845PEv Pro

Will futuremark allow P4 results with drastically different clocks??

futuremark can't tell you've played w/ ur gfx clocks, but it will throw a fuss about drastic cpu mhz swings...i've changed it before mid-run & it took the score, but it was only by like 1mhz fsb ;)

I've changed as much as 3 MHz FSB and 60 MHz CPU, it took the results no problem. Its also a known fact that a high GPU clock does not help the car high and lobby high tests :) But in my testing, I found car high definately going better with a higher graphics card, but that might be because my system was running 4.15 GHz and 240 MHz memory... then here and there there are a few FPS where the gfx card bottlenecks you

i dont even raise my gpu or mem for car low and im one of the few that have seen 300+ in it:P
In a few weeks all these werid quirks will finally come to an end.
And you will get something new to play with.
so dont worry to much about it.
There is a whole new one coming to find weird quirks with:)
