I'm in the process of finding a good "bangforbuck" GFX.
I have my eyes on both the Gainward 7800gt 512MB GLH and the upcoming
ATI X1800GTO.

Wich of those cards to you think will be the best banger for the bucker?

thanx!

hmm dunno but we are doing a review on the 7800gt 512mb its a good card (not the glh) but the price of the 7900gt now makes it a not so good card

metro the 7800gt 512mb we have is the Goes Like Hell edition... is way faster than a normal 7800gt in par with 7800gtx if you oc a little but better go 7900gt for 300 bucks that is BANG FOR BUCK

For that Price Range My vote is for 7900GT
The X1800GTO goes head to head with the 7600GT, so if you had to choose between those two The 7800GT hands down but a 7900GT would be a better choice...

The 512mb isnt really gonna help you in most games.
Id say spend the 300$ on a 7900GT.

Hmm, from what I've heard the 7900gt doesn't perform that much better than the 7800gt.
That 512MB will come in handy sooner or later.

Any specific brand of the 7900gt that is known to be a bettter OC'er due to better cooling and such?

Alrighty then, how about this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130281

Seems like a good card to me, and their rep is also good from what I've learned.
Any thoughts fellas?:)

Nice to hear!:D

..now if I only could get this over to Sweden in a fashionable manner..
I refuse to pay 25% tax on it, kinda ruins the "happyshopperfeeling".
